PROJECT ONE : MODELLING AN ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
In this project, we had to select a house and model its basic external form on either Rhino or 3ds Max. As we were advised to use our Semester two Retreat House Design, I chose my Design, the Mendax Retreat as it will allow me to explore and further work on a pre-thought about design in a more three dimensional and extensive approach.
THE THREE SOFTWARE PLATFORMS THAT I USED FOR
THIS PROJECT

autocad was used to draw out the floor plans with reference to the manual drawings from semester two.
All the extruding out was done using Rhino as i found it an easier platform to command and a more convenient software to make necessary adjustments to the structures

INTRODUCTION
The second project involves the production of photorealistic still rendering of the selected architecture design with materials, appropriate camera views and post-production enhancement on the visual outcome. The visualisation work would be assessed on the types and ways materials are used, types of lights and effects used to set up the scene, setup of appropriate camera views for rendering and skills of using post-production tools to enhance the visual outcome.
Objectives of Project
Below is the process of rendering on 3Dsmax with the use of materials and special tools which aid in creating
the perfect visual, texture, gloss, hardness and depth of materials and light intensities.
The Mendex Retreat is Designed as a relaxing, tranquil and private getaway for the Famous Political fugitive Julian Assange. Assange is Famous for his ability to steal secretive information and is globally known as the 'robin hood of hacking'. Assange believes that transparency of truth, justice and fairness is vital for a peaceful, crime-free world. The house is designed with Timber and concrete and with exquisite attention to detail.

REFLECTION
Through this Project, I have learnt to create photo realistic images with the use of 3dsmax. As I am someone who prefers merging the real world with fictional imaginary world, in order to not only experiment the tools and layerings of the softwares, but also to allow myself to use and learn more elements about the softwares that i used. I approached the landscape with a sprinkle of my own imagination, however using the same idea of the site context that the house was built in. In addition to this, I have gained a good practice of recording the work in progess as progressive evidence of the entire process.

PROJECT THREE:
ANIMATION OF RENDERED
SCENE
REFLECTION
Via this project i have gained a better understanding of how to visualize and present design ideas. it has significantly improved my skills in 3dsmax and despite the challenges and trial and error's of the process of rendering the frames, I have enhanced my knowledge on new and far more advanced tools that will be later on benifitial in the course.
the project has also given me an opportunity to be creative with the production of the animation. I have merged real life time lapse scenario's with the animated frames in order to tell a story and provide the eerie and mystical ambiance of the retreat.

adjusting and creating the perfect angles and proper positioning for the camera is most challenging
